There's a -20 offhand as a Pre-Searing quest reward; they also drop from enemies occasionally. Poke around the Ventari's Sell boards, occasionally someone's selling one there.

that old build before a recent upfdate I think is what he is talking about. the one for invicimonk ver 1... this si not the case now. yes you want 55, but you do not want a DP too much cause as they stated its based on base health not current health, With Protective spirt. what he is thinking of is the old protective bond build... which is basically nerfed unless you got a 3 man team...

The only time I used the 55 monk build was when I farmed the UW solo. Before then and since the "nerf" I've soloed without it.

if you chose too. youll have your armor and rune setup for farming. if possible get another set of armor (dont even have to be the same armor lvl IE. Lions arch armor or maguma stade armor) and use that for healing/missions and change your skilsl around slightly. I dont think bringing back your health to 8hp for griffon runs is a good idea; once you run into a dusttrap you're death meat! Even with a +4 mending on.

You can, if you bring spellbreaker or a simular spell. Problem is in UW your spells are disspelled. which is quite deadly when you suddenly get 100+ dmg instead of only 5.

If its for earning gold I would stick to griffon runs anyway

Kyle, it depends on what you want to do. Lots of warriors who do farming prefer to use Gladiator's for any sort of large amount - melee farming.

Im not talking about the bonuses and stuff that armors give you. Im talking about the standard AL. Drok being 60 and ascalon being 15 (dunno). Would that make a difference in farming lets say griffons. Or would it just be better to run with the drok armor to play it safe

You don't need high armor and it does not need to be infused. Since you will always take the same amount of small dmg. And if you use Bonetti you want to be hit, because that recharges your energy bar

Trying to understand how to get to 55hps. You start at 100 hps get 20 per level up for 380 at level 20, this would make 480 hps. Okay now for getting it down. You use 4 superior runes, Divine Favor, Healing, Protection and Smiting. This takes -75 hp off per rune for a grand total of 300 hps. 480 - 300 = 180. You use the -50 hp focus item, this is now 130. What did I miss? I am 75 off, did I miss a rune of some kind? Just curious about this.

You use a 5th superior rune. Their -hp effects stack.

Thanks Lasareth, was wondering how they was doing that. So technically you could choose not to use the -50 hp focus item and use another sup. rune and have a total of 30hps

instead of the usual 105hps. Sounds like fun, just need something with -3 received damage and you might have something. Wonder, if you can kill yourself with too many negative hitpoint stuff?

Hehe, you'd run out of armor slots before you did that

If you die once with all 5 of your -HP runes on, you can't be resurrected by any skills except Vengeance, Unyielding Aura, and Resurrection Signets.

A funny thing... If you switch out your armor, get damaged, and switch back so that your runes' -HP is greater than your current HP, you can go into negative HP

if someone heals you at that point you die

Also, if you're at max hp less than 75 and you equip a -75hp rune, you'll go down to 1 hp.

Eh what? You can't equip a superior rune into your offhand weapon slot...

nope you cant equip a rune as an off hand.

best armour to use for a 55 monk is the ascetics from lions arch as its cheap and you get a nice energy boost on it.

get both a -50 icon and -20 icon, then if you die you can swap to minus 20 icon and have 33 health whihc is actually better

carry around with you ur normal armour piece that covers your arms then if you die twice you can swap the armour over and re quip the 50, 30 DP can be worked off in 2 mins if you take on 12 hydra at once. if more join the figth half way through tho be ready to swap either armour or icons over just as you kill the first lot you engaged as your maximum health will shoot up

you dont need bonettis, or anything else as you want to get hit and you have no need for adrenaline

you dont need to be a monk / warrior by doing that your actually being less effective

having 4 or 8 health is good as it makes it a lot lot easier to kill larger groups of things (can take on 15-20 + groups more if they have no knockdown)

dont use protective bond it sucks saddams balls, use protective spirit

griffons are the easyiest to kill, you can take on about 15 with no fear of dieing

also you dont need to attack everything, stand still and let everything surround you that way you kill everything at exactly the same time

time casting your spells just after meteor or a knock down has hit you

using this method i can normally take on about 10-15 hydra with 55hp and live, unless they get into a ryhtem of casting meteor one after another in sequence

if anyone wants me to show them this in action messege me later and ill show you, if i get a gold drop tho its mine :OP lol

p.s. if anyone has a smiting rod with - health let me know and i will buy it
